The coating is chemically bonded to the surface of devices, grafting modified heparin onto the surface of the medical devices, effectively inhibiting formation of thrombus. During long term use, the coating can still maintain its integrity and function, and will not degrade with use.
- Hygea® heparin coating shows a significant anticoagulant effect, through effectively reducing protein and platelet adhesion, thus reducing thrombus formation.
- It has good biocompatibility.
- During long term use, the coating retains its integrity and function.
- Coating thickness is at the nanometer level.
jMedtech has been incorporated its antithrombogenic coatings into 11 different products, showcasing a broad foundation of uses and extensive experience. The coated products have demonstrated a significant anti-coagulative effect.
