Hygea® Heparin Antithrombogenic Coating
Hygea® heparin antithrombogenic coating is a chemically bonded coating for use on blood-contacting medical devices, which prevents thrombosis and reduces adhesion of blood components. It is durable, biocompatible and is suitable for stent implants, metal implants, introducer sheaths, vascular grafts, CVC, PICC, hemodialysis catheters, and other applications.

Product Introduction
The coating is chemically bonded to the surface of devices, grafting modified heparin onto the surface of the medical devices, effectively inhibiting formation of thrombus. During long term use, the coating can still maintain its integrity and function, and will not degrade with use.

Product Advantages
- Hygea® heparin coating shows a significant anticoagulant effect, through effectively reducing protein and platelet adhesion, thus reducing thrombus formation.
- It has good biocompatibility.
- During long term use, the coating retains its integrity and function.
- Coating thickness is at the nanometer level.
Applications
- Stent grafts
- Metal implants
- Introducer sheaths
- Vascular grafts
- CVC
- PICC
- Haemodialysis catheters
- Others
Performance Tests
We have done a series of experiments with heparin coating, here are the results
SEM

Uncoated PU
Uncoated PU surface, completely covered by platelets and fibrinogen

PU coated with cured heparin coating
The surface of PU with cured heparin coating shows a dramatic reduction in adhesion of platelets.
